Happy Labor Day weekend! The weather is supposed to be absolutely gorgeous and I’m looking forward to spending some time outside over the weekend. I’m actually hoping that the weather stays like this and that we’re done with the hot, humid weather. I really hate the humidity.
My next pre-ordered delivery to Bowling Green will be next Saturday, Sept. 11. On Sunday, Sept. 12, I’ll have my final Open House of the season.
Open House Details
The Open House will be by appointment only so that I have time to devote to each person who comes out and to answer any questions you may have. Each appointment is for 30 minutes. Use this calendar to view open appointments by clicking on the blue circle around Sept. 12. After clicking on Sept. 12, you’ll see a list of available times on the right. Click on the time that is most convenient for you and follow the directions to schedule your appointment.
I am so excited to have all of my 2021 honey bottled, labeled, and ready to go. My girls continue to produce a beautiful light amber colored honey. (There are official color standards for honey, and so far, mine has always graded as a light amber.) This honey is what I harvested in July 2021, so if from nectar that my honey bees harvested in during the spring and early summer.
Fall is the absolute best time to plant perennials, shrubs, and trees. The summer heat has broken, the fall rains are usually fairly regular, and the roots have plenty of time to get established before the ground freezes. Some of my trees and shrubs are easily 3 feet tall now and my swamp / rose milkweed isn’t far behind. I also have hollow joe-pye weed available for the first time this season! A full list of everything I currently have available can be found below.
Availability List for Pre-ordered Delivery
Here is the list of everything I’ll have available for the September 11 pre-ordered delivery and September 12 Open House. If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help in any way I can.
