My next round of pre-ordered deliveries will be next weekend. I’ll be doing a Glasgow delivery at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 16, and a Bowling Green delivery at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17.
After a slow start at the beginning of the season, many of the species have really taken off recently. I now have several larger specimens of trees and shrubs available of some of the species. One of the larger shrubby St. John’s worts is even getting ready to bloom.
If you are concerned about planting at this time of year, it is possible to successfully do so. Just don’t do it on an extremely hot day and make sure you give the plants plenty of water for the rest of the season. The rain we’ve been getting on a semi-regular basis is helpful, but you will need to water your new plants if the rain stops.
I harvested my 2021 honey on July 4 and July 10, but haven’t gotten it bottled and ready to sell yet. I will be doing that over the next few weeks and anticipate having 2021 honey available either for the deliveries at the end of the month or for the first round of deliveries and Open House in August. In the meantime, I still have a few jars of 2020 honey left.
Here is the list of everything I’ll have available for July 16 and 17. After next weekend, my next pre-ordered deliveries to Glasgow and Bowling Green will be July 30 and 31. The next Open House will be August 15. If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help in any way I can.
