I will be giving a virtual presentation at the regular monthly meeting of the Oak Openings Chapter of the Wild Ones. We will be discussing the differences between native plants, exotic plants, aggressive plants, and invasive plants and why it is important to understand the differences between the different terms.

 

Native, Exotic, Invasive, and Aggressive Plants: What are they and why does it matter?

The terms native, exotic, invasive, and aggressive are often used to describe different types of plants, but what do the terms really mean? We’ll dig into the definitions of each type of plant and discuss their different ecological impacts.
