Helping you discover and appreciate the nature around you.

Do you love to geek out about nature?

Do you want to make a difference for your local pollinators and wildlife? (No matter whether you have a patio or 100s of acres.)

If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, then you’ve come to the right spot!

I love helping people discover and appreciate the nature around them, especially in the eastern U.S.

Talks

Are you part of a group, organization, or other entity who brings in speakers?

I offer talks, presentations, and keynotes about a wide range of topics including honey bees, native pollinators, gardening with native plants, creating habitat around your home, and other nature-related topics.

Books

Do you love to read and turn to books as a resource for learning about pollinators, wildlife, and creating habitat for pollinators and wildlife?

Or, do you know someone like that and want to get them a gift?

I have written two books, am actively working on a third book, and have plans for several other books.

Backyard Ecology

Do you enjoy reading blogs, listening to podcasts, or watching YouTube videos, especially ones that are regionally based?

Are you looking for balanced, science-informed support and guidance on how to attract pollinators and wildlife to your yard and community?

Backyard Ecology is where I invite people to join me as we ignite our curiosity and natural wonder, explore our yards and communities, and improve our local pollinator and wildlife habitat.

Busy Bee Nursery and Consulting

Are you looking for native plants in Kentucky or Tennessee?

Do you need help figuring out how to make your property better for pollinators and wildlife – no matter what size your property is?

At Busy Bee Nursery and Consulting we offer on-site and virtual habitat consulting services and sell native plants that benefit pollinators and wildlife.

My Gift to You

Did you know that garden hardiness zones don’t mean anything when it comes to gardening with native plants?

If you’re like most people, then probably not. But when it comes to growing native plants, ecoregions are more important than the more familiar plant hardiness zones.

Learn more in my e-book, An Introduction to Gardening with Native Plants: Hardiness Zones and Ecoregions. It’s my gift to you for subscribing to my email list. (You can unsubscribe at any time, but my goal is to make the information I share so valuable and pertinent to the questions you are asking that you’ll want to keep getting the emails.)
